tesa scribos will be represented on the joint ‘Identification, Vision & Protection’ stand at this year’s Hannover Messe trade fair, which takes place between April 19 and 23. The stand in Hall 17 will showcase the complete tesa scribos service range – from essential guidance for implementing a brand protection strategy through to the latest generation tesa Holospot® and the new tesa® trust & trace concept .
Brand protection combined with product tracking
tesa® trust & trace system is a new concept from tesa scribos which combines state-of-the art track & trace systems with a physically secure product coding system, such as tesa Holospot® or tesa® CodeSeal. This logistics and brand protection concept provides detailed, reliable data which can be used to optimise distribution and prevent counterfeiting and grey market trade. tesa® trust & trace can be easily integrated into existing logistics processes. Goods tracking systems based on barcodes, 2D matrix codes, or RFID and NFC technology are simply integrated into brand protection. It is thus possible, for instance, to register products on an individual basis during production and associate them with a transport packing code when they are packed. This data can then also be linked to a RFID pallet label. When the counterfeit-proof tesa Holospot® or tesa® Code Seal technology is used, the advantages for brand protection are self-evident: All parties in the supply chain can check a product’s authenticity at any time. End customers can also quickly and easily identify counterfeits by querying authenticity online or by sending a mobile text message.
tesa Holospot® with barcode or RFID
tesa Holospot® offers the best possible protection against counterfeiting. Well-known companies such as Vossloh-Schwab or FRAKO in the electronics industry and car replacement parts supplier Continental already rely on this system. For such companies it’s not only a question of protecting their image and profits, but also safeguarding end customers’ lives or physical well-being. The poor quality of counterfeit products can increase the risk of fire and explosions in lighting systems and may lead to death in the case of brakes or high-capacity condensers.
tesa Holospot® provides greater security in such cases as each individual product is clearly identified using both visible and concealed markings. Each tesa Holospot® can also be combined with barcodes matrix codes, RFID chips and codes which can be read by the naked eye. This is primarily used to track individual products along the entire logistics chain, to protect against the grey market and to involve end customers. The serial number, which is already featured in the counterfeit-proof tesa Holospot® lithograph, is also included as a matrix code or RFID code. Such codes can be checked using customary scanner devices and can be presented as a serial number or encrypted. End customers can quickly and easily verify product authenticity by checking the visible serial number over the Internet or sending a text message their mobile phone. Authenticity verification can also be integrated into product registration systems and customer loyalty programmes.
