Technology and company history

1998: The physicists Steffen Noehte and Matthias Gerspach discover tesafilm as a data storage medium at the University of Mannheim.

1999-2001: Development of the technology within a research cooperation of tesa AG, the European Media Lab and the University of Mannheim.

End 2001: tesa scribos GmbH is founded by tesa AG together with the inventors.

2002-2003: Development of the tesa Holospot® system towards marketability.

2004: Market introduction of the tesa Holospot® system as core technology in the solution portfolio for security and identification applications.
